Digital Technology

This week we did Digital Technology and we got a photo taken with me doing some sort of pose. After we took the photo, we put the photo on to a website Remove background. Then we put that photo onto a google drawing. After we did that we went onto a website called unsplash to find a background. Once we have got one you have to put it on the google drawing. I made two here they are.

Explanation writing

For the first five weeks of this term we have been doing Explanation writing. I have done one on the life cycle of a pumpkin.

Life Cycle Of A Pumpkin - Lessons - Tes Teach

The life cycle of a pumpkin

A pumpkin is something you eat and you probably didnt didnt think there was a

life cycle but there is the seed, sprout, vine, flower, green pumpkin and a orange

pumpkin.

Before you plant the pumpkin seed you have to put in the sun to dry.

Once it is they are dry you can plant them. Once they have been planted it takes

about 2 to 4 weeks to sprout. After about 7 to 10 days the sprout should have

turned into a vine.

Once the vine has sprouted there will be flowers that appear on the vine.

The flowers mean that there is going to be green pumpkins ( unripe pumpkins ).

That is the life cycle of a pumpkin which are the seed, sprout, vine, flower, green

pumpkin and a orange pumpkin.

Explanation Writing

For writing we are working on Explanation Writing. I have done a piece of writing about the life cycle of a butterfly.

The life cycle of a butterfly

The life cycle of a butterfly is a pretty easy cycle. There are only 4 stages which include egg, caterpillar, cocoon and butterfly.

The cycle starts off with an egg. The adult lays eggs on the milkweed then the eggs will hatch within a four day period of time.

The next stage is the caterpillar. The caterpillar will go into a cocoon and stay there for about ten to fourteen days. The caterpillar will then start turning into a butterfly.

The butterfly will hatch out of the cocoon. The butterfly's wings have to dry before they can fly, it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the wings are dry the butterfly will flap its wings and learn to fly. The butterfly will live for up to 4 weeks.

Now you know lots about the life cycle of a butterfly.

LIfe cycle of a frog

In the lifecycle of a frog there's five stages. It starts off with the eggs that take about 3 weeks to turn into Tadpoles. Then the Tadpoles grow legs Tadpoles will grow back legs first then there front legs. Next the Tadpole will turn into a Froglet. Then it will be an adult frog.

Now you know lots about the life cycle of a frog.
